The Clan McGrath International Gathering 2026 will take place from the 18th – 21st June 2026. We will base ourselves in Enniskillen, the County town of Fermanagh. The Gathering will build on the tremendous work of the Clan McGrath Society when we hosted the first pos-COVID Clan McGrath Gathering from 8th – 12th August 2024 in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford Ireland.

The Clan McGrath International Gathering 2026 will explore our ancient Clan as the holders of the Termon lands of Termonmagrath and Termonamongan, collectively known as Termondavog from the 12th to the 17th century. We’ll explore their relationship at the centre of the three great Gaelic kingdoms of Tirconnell under the O’Donnelly Chiefs, Tyrone under the O’Neill Chiefs and Fermanagh under the Maguire Chiefs. How the Clan McGrath navigated the politics of this often turbulent time as diplomats, negotiators and in their herditary office as Coarbs, or overseers of the great pilgrimage island of Lough Derg, producing great characters who influenced Irelands political and cultural landscape to this day.
